Grand Traverse Dyslexia Services provides one-on-one tutorial services for children and adults. All potential students are “screened” to determine what is known. The screening will not label a student. It will give a tutor a place to begin teaching what is unknown.

Screening

The initial screening takes one to one and half hours. Results of the screening are presented in a written report that is discussed during a follow-up consultation time.

Cost of the screening (including initial and follow-up meetings and written report) is $175.00.

Tutoring Sessions

The fee for tutoring sessions conducted by one of trained tutors is $34.00 per hour. In some instances (especially young children), lessons also can be held for 3/4 of an hour for the prorated fee of $25.50.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance is available for individuals who meet the income guidelines. Application forms are available at the office.
